Our safety promise
Your safety comes first. Emergency Trades Washington uses a simple, private system so you and the tradesperson we assign can confirm you're both part of the same job β before anyone sets foot inside your home.
The job verification code
- When you submit a request, we give you a private job code on screen and by email.
- When we match you with a local pro, we give that same code to the pro.
- When the pro calls or arrives, ask them for the code before you open the door.
- Only let them start work once the codes match exactly.
Do not open your door to anyone unless you have verified this code. If they can't give the right code, it may not be the pro we matched you with β and legitimate tradespeople don't want impersonators showing up at homeowners' doors either. Refuse entry and call us immediately.
How to stay safe
- β’ Keep your job code private β only share it with the assigned pro.
- β’ Verify the code on every visit, not just the first one.
- β’ You're never obligated to let someone in. Never open the door until you've confirmed the code. Trust your instincts.
- β’ For dangerous emergencies (fire, medical, gas), call 911 first.
- β’ Tradespeople arranged through us are matched, not employed by us β but the code confirms the match.
Why we do this
A shared code protects you from impersonators and protects good tradespeople from false claims. It's a small step that builds real trust on both sides of every job.
